VC746A 6000-Count True RMS Multimeter, Live and NCV

The VC746A is the 6000-count model of the VC700 wide-screen series, with a 65.0×43.5mm LCD. Its distinguishing function is voltage detection in two ways: NCV for non-contact detection and a Live test for contact detection, with a high voltage symbol on the display. It measures DC voltage to 1000V at ±(0.5%+5) and current to 20A, and comes with a TP01 temperature probe.

Choosing within the series

The VC700 series has two models in the same 190×92×50mm housing. The VC746A has 6000 counts, the Live test and high voltage indication, capacitance to 60mF, frequency to 10MHz and an AC frequency response of 40Hz-2kHz. The VC732A is the 2000-count model: no Live test or high voltage indication, capacitance to 2000μF, frequency to 1MHz and 40Hz-1kHz AC response, but it keeps the hFE test that the VC746A does not have.
