The VC108PV is a photovoltaic module maximum power tester designed for quick and convenient measurement of the Maximum Power Point (MPPT) of solar panels. It can simultaneously measure the photovoltaic module’s maximum power (Pmax), open-circuit voltage (Voc), and short-circuit current (Isc), with all parameters displayed on a single interface. The Maximum Power Point (MPPT) measured by this instrument is the most critical indicator for evaluating the power generation efficiency of photovoltaic panels, and it is commonly used for photovoltaic panel testing and faulty module troubleshooting.

VC522 This meter is applied to measuring electromagnetic fields of extremely low frequency (ELF) of 30 to 1kHz. It is capable of measuring the electromagnetic field radiation intensity that is produced from electric transmission equipment, power line, microwave oven, air conditioner, refrigerator, computer monitor, video/audio/network device and so forth. The magnetic field unit is Tesla (T), Gauss (G), milli-Gauss (mG) or micro-Tesla (μT).
How to Choose Environmental Testers
Start from the quantity you need to report, because each meter here measures a different one; the lux and solar models are also grouped under lux and solar power meters.
- Illuminance (lux): for lighting levels on desks, floors and work areas, use LX-1332B, which reads to 200,000 lux with 0.1 lux resolution, enough for both dim corridors and direct daylight. If your specification is written in foot-candles, LX-1334B shows lux and FC.
- Luminance (cd/m²): lux measures light falling on a surface; luminance measures light coming from it. For screen, signage and backlight brightness, choose LX-1336B.
- Solar irradiance: LX-107 reads up to 2000 W/m² and has a built-in compass, which helps when checking panel orientation and comparing sites before a PV installation.
- PV module output: to test the panel itself, VC108PV finds the maximum power point and reports Pmax from 5 to 800W, Voc and Vmp from 12 to 60V and Isc and Imp to 35A. It needs no battery because the panel powers it.
- Magnetic field: VC522 measures magnetic flux density from 0.01 to 200μT (0.1 to 2000mG) over 30Hz to 1kHz, the band of power lines, transformers and appliances. It does not measure electric field strength.
