VC1508PD Overview
VC1508PD Insulation Multimeter with Remote Control Test Leads, supporting five insulation test voltage ranges of 100V/250V/500V/1000V/2500V, with a maximum measurement up to 50GΩ. It is equipped with professional functions such as automatic calculation of PI Polarization Index/DAR Dielectric Absorption Ratio, timed measurement, data hold, and audible and visual alarm, and can monitor the output voltage in real time to avoid misjudgment. It supports true RMS AC/DC voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode, and continuity testing, as well as NCV non-contact voltage detection. Featuring double insulation protection, auto-ranging, and automatic power-off, it is easy to operate and portable, making it an ideal tool for testing equipment including automobile repair shops, electric motors, transformers, cables, and switchgears.
The VC1508PD is a 6000-count insulation multimeter with a remote control test lead and the highest test voltage in the VC1508 series. It runs insulation tests at 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V and 2500V, reads up to 50GΩ, and indicates polarization index (PI) and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) for motors, transformers and cables.

Choosing within the series
The VC1508PD and VC1508PC share PI/DAR indication, measurement time selection and 40Hz~1kHz AC response. The PD adds the 50GΩ/2500V step; the PC instead starts lower with a 200MΩ/50V step and stops at 1000V. The VC1508AT and VC1508B+ have no PI/DAR but add AC/DC current to 20A, temperature from -40°C to 1000°C, duty cycle and max/min hold, with insulation tests up to 1000V. Choose the PD when you need 2500V or readings above 20GΩ.
