LX-1336B Overview
LX-1336B screen brightness meter is mainly used to test the luminous brightness of various backlights such as televisions, computers, and mobile phone screens. It can test whether the light intensity of each distribution point of the effective area of various backlights is uniform, test the brightness of televisions, computers, and mobile phone screens, prevent eye damage, and play a certain role in eye protection for students and children.
The LX-1336B is a handheld luminance meter. Where a lux meter measures light falling on a surface, the LX-1336B measures the brightness of a light-emitting surface in cd/m². Display and electronics makers, repair shops and QC teams use it on TV, computer and phone screens and on backlight panels, with 0.1 cd/m² resolution and ±5.0%+10 accuracy.
Key features
- Reads luminance in cd/m², resolution 0.1 cd/m²
- Accuracy ±5.0%+10
- Manual range selection, sampling 3 times/s
- Auto zero-adjustment, data hold, low battery indication
- Sensor on a cable of approx. 120cm; auto power off after approx. 15 minutes
- 9V (6F22) battery
Applications
Checking screen brightness on phones, tablets and TVs, testing whether brightness is even across the active area of a backlight, and measuring traffic signal brightness.
Choosing within the series
The LX-1332B, LX-1334B and LX-1336B share the same housing, cabled sensor, manual ranging, data hold and auto power off. The LX-1332B reads illuminance in lux only. The LX-1334B adds foot-candle display (20/200/2000/20000 FC, 1 FC = 10.76 lux) for buyers working to imperial lighting specs. The LX-1336B is a luminance meter: it reads cd/m² from a light-emitting surface such as a screen, not the light falling on a work area.
