The AC-3 is a non-contact AC voltage detector pen for electricians and installers. It detects 50Hz/60Hz AC voltage from 48V to 1000V by default; pressing the S key switches to high sensitivity, 12V to 1000V.

Applications

Choosing within the series
The AC II has one fixed AC 90~1000V range and no listed auto power off or low battery warning. The AC-4 keeps the same two ranges as the AC-3 but uses an LCD: live wire identification combines the signal light, an LCD analog bar and backlight color, and low battery shows as a symbol on screen. Choose the AC-3 for 12V high sensitivity with simple LED indication. The AC-1 is a basic neon screwdriver tester.
