CM-2018 800A AC/DC Clamp Meter, LoZ, LPF, True RMS

The CM-2018 is a 6000-count True RMS AC/DC clamp meter for motor drive work. On top of 800A AC and DC current at ±(1.5%+5), it adds LoZ low-impedance voltage (0V to 600V AC and DC, ±(2.0%+10)), and LPF low-pass filtered AC voltage (0V to 600V, ±(4.0%+8)) for VFD outputs. The 28mm jaw has a clamp light.

Applications

VFD and inverter-driven motor circuits, industrial maintenance, HVAC with variable-speed compressors, solar and battery systems, and wiring checks where induced voltage gives false readings.

Choosing within the series

The CM-2018 is the upper model of the CM20 series. Against the CM-2016 it adds LoZ, LPF, the orange high-voltage backlight alarm and a second NCV method through the red test lead. Current, resistance, capacitance, frequency and temperature ranges are the same on both. The CM-2016 has slightly tighter AC voltage accuracy, ±(0.5%+5). Choose the CM-2018 if you measure drive outputs or need LoZ.
