TM550 550°C Infrared Thermometer, Adjustable Emissivity

The TM550 is a handheld infrared thermometer for reading surface temperature without contact, on hot, moving or hard-to-reach objects. It measures -50℃ to 550℃ (-58℉ to 1022℉) with an accuracy of ±1.5℃ or ±1.5%, whichever is higher, at a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio.

Applications

Water and oil temperature, kitchen and baking checks, boilers, kilns and smelting areas viewed from a distance, and quick surface checks on equipment that is unsafe or impossible to touch.

Choosing within the series

The TM550 and TM380 share the same body, functions and accuracy; the only difference is the upper limit (TM550: 550℃, TM380: 380℃). Both start at -50℃ and run on an AA battery. The TM500A, TM650A and TM750A add an IP54 rating, a 3 m drop test, a separate accuracy band above 400℃ and a 9V battery; the TM650A and TM750A also use an annular multi-point laser.
